enterprising Women 51 Barbara Potter TJ Potter Trucking Inc., Becker, MN Barbara Potter is the CEO of TJ Potter Trucking Inc., a nationwide trucking company specializing in oversized loads, as well as CEO of T. J. P. Brokerage Inc., Becker Warehouse & Reload Inc., and most recently, she purchased Perkins Heavy Haul in October 2017. She and her husband started TJ Potter Trucking with one truck in 1980 and began hauling sod. Today, TJ Potter owns more than 70 trucks and 200 trailers and has reached $26 million in annual revenue. Barbara is a certified wbe through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, and is a member of the National Women’s Leadership Association, and the Becker Chamber of Commerce. Megan Smith Symbia Logistics, Edwards, CO Megan Smith is CEO of Symbia Logistics, which specializes in third party logistics, public warehousing and fulfillment. Founded by her father, Jim Smith, Megan grew up on the floor of the warehouse and prides herself on getting her hands dirty since day one. She and her executive team are responsible for managing 18 dedicated service centers with a workforce of more than 1,300 associates. Symbia has provided support to many Fortune 500 companies with dedicated- and shared-resource distribution facility management. Megan and Symbia Logistics supported the victims of Hurricane Harvey, and regularly sponsor and attend community events. She is an alumna of an all-girls academy which her daughter now attends, and there, Megan mentors young women, and has served as a coach and public speaker. Megan is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Supply Chain Management.
