52 enterprising Women Jacky Noons 3 Men Movers, Houston, TX Jacky Noons is CEO of 3 Men Movers, a family company which she purchased from her parents in 2004. In 2006, utilizing her previous experience in real estate, she opened a sister company, 3 Men Movers Self Storage, which now operates a state-of-the-art self-storage facility. Under Jacky’s leadership, 3 Men Movers has been recognized with the Better Business Bureau’s Pinnacle Award; Best In City Search; and Angie’s Super Service Award. She has been a member of Vistage for fourteen years, the oldest organization of CEOs, and in 2005 won its Thomas Jefferson Award for Creative Leadership.  She serves on the board of the Southwest Movers Association. She recently ran a program to provide 30 free moves to victims of 2017’s hurricane Harvey, and following Harvey, her company also donated $30,000 to the Houston Food Bank. For a decade, they have delivered bikes to underprivileged children in the Houston area, sometimes assisting in the delivery of as many as 20,000 bikes in one year. Jacky serves as a mentor to female and male students from The University of Houston and Rice University. Sara Moola Visual Awareness Technologies and Consulting, Tampa, FL Sara Moola is president, CEO and co-founder of Visual Awareness Technologies and Consulting (VATC), which provides global strategies, joint training and exercise, and geospatial solutions for secure operations around the world. Since the company’s founding in 2003, Sara has grown VATC from a two-person team supporting two government contracts to a 300-employee organization with more than 36 locations worldwide. In addition to her role at VATC, Sara founded Warrior Outdoor Leadership for the Future, or WOLF, a nonprofit organization that provides college or career-bound children of fallen Special Operations soldiers with a summer leadership program, including resume workshops and introduction to industry leaders for mentoring and future career opportunities. She’s been recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Business Woman of the Year Awards, and was awarded the Business Woman of the Year Award in both the Technology and Community Service categories. Sara currently serves as a director on the board of the Economic Development Council. She became a member of the Young Professional Organization (YPO) in 2017 and works with the U.S. State Department in Women and Entrepreneurship, primarily in Africa. Margaret Wood WOOD Consulting Services, Inc., Fulton, MD Margaret Wood is president and CEO of WOOD Consulting Services, Inc., a management consulting and IT services firm. She has more than 30 years of experience in federal contracting and has led or served as a member of delegations representing small and minority-owned businesses. Margaret is a supporter of many organizations that provide mentoring services, including the Executive Alliance, Women’s Leadership Magazine USA, and others. She’s served as a mentor in the Goals for Girls program through the American Association of University Women and participates in one-to-one mentoring with entrepreneurs. Margaret is a speaker and subject matter expert on entrepreneurship and government contracting. She received the Growth Master award from the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Management Executive of the Year award from the Minority Enterprise Advocate, Washington Brava Women Business Achievement Award and the Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award. Margaret was also recognized through her selection as Entrepreneurial Success Advocate of the Year by the Small Business Administration (Washington Metropolitan Area).
